Driving test pass rates at every test centre
Official DVSA figures for all 317 car test centres in Great Britain, April 2025 to March 2026.
50.0% of car driving tests in Great Britain were passes from April 2025 to March 2026: 1,000,040 of 1,998,615 tests, against 48.7% the year before. Among centres with 1,000 or more tests, the rate ran from 34.3% at Wolverhampton to 69.7% at Melton Mowbray.
A high pass rate does not mean an easier test. Every centre tests to the same standard. The rate reflects who tests there: how much practice they have had, how many are on a first attempt, and the roads they learned on. Choosing a centre for its pass rate rarely helps if the roads are unfamiliar.
