Everything on Learners Insurance is general information about how learner driver insurance works and about what providers publish. It is not financial advice, not insurance advice, and not a personal recommendation. We do not know your circumstances, your licence history, your car or your budget, and nothing here is tailored to them.

Deciding which policy to buy, or whether to buy one at all, is your decision. If you want advice on that, speak to an insurance broker who is authorised to give it.

We are not regulated, and we do not sell insurance

Learners Insurance is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not arrange insurance, we do not introduce you to anyone for payment, we run no quote engine and we collect no details from you to pass on. We are a publisher.

Arranging and advising on insurance are regulated activities in the UK. The firms we write about are authorised to do those things. We are not, and we stay well clear of the line.

Facts go out of date

Every fact about a provider on this site was read from that provider's own published material, and the date we read it is printed on the page. Insurers change their terms, their age limits and their prices without notice and without telling us.

Before you buy anything, read the provider's own policy wording and Insurance Product Information Document. Those govern. This site does not, and where the two disagree, theirs is right and ours is out of date.

We do not publish prices as comparisons

Where a price appears on this site it is a provider's own published headline figure, quoted with the date they attached to it. It is not a quote, it is not what you will pay, and we do not rank anybody on price. Your premium depends on you.

Driving without insurance is an offence

If you hold a provisional licence and drive on a public road in Great Britain, you must be insured to drive that vehicle. That is the law, not our opinion, and the penalties are set out on GOV.UK. Do not use anything on this site as a reason to drive uninsured. If you are not sure whether you are covered, ask the insurer before you drive.
